The Perfect Place for a Tropical Wedding

We will be more than happy to help you plan the tropical wedding of your dreams. Getting married at Stella Maris is easy. Just follow the steps outlined below:

• Fill out the "Application for a Marriage License" from the Commonwealth of the Bahamas (enclosed in our wedding packet).

• Send the application along with certified copies of the required documents to us: original or notarized copy of birth certificates; parental consent if either party is under 18; sworn affidavits if single; and a certified copy of divorce or death certificate of deceased spouse if either party has been married previously.

• No blood test is necessary.

Your Wedding Package Includes:

The “Stella Maris Wedding Package” covers all nice necessaries for the actual wedding, for bride and groom. We have many suggestions of how to make this once-a-life-time event just what you want it to be …from low-key and intimate to, if you wish, more formal and more active. Our resort and nearby island areas provide many choices of very attractive settings for the ceremony, for a following party and for any possible, subsequent wedding visitor activities.

It covers the costs for:

* All documentary processing “Bahamas” = our efforts and those of the Bahamian Authorities – to the point of issuing the Marriage License (provided that the two marriage applicants will meet all formal requirements)

* The actual and legally required marriage ceremony performance, undertaken – by choice of the bride and groom – by a local “Government Administrator” or an appropriately qualified Priest

* Wedding Bouquet & Boutonniere of local flowers; informal wedding decorations for the place of the ceremony and the wedding dinner area

* Snacks for 8 persons and two bottles of champagne, for the ceremony

* Four-course wedding dinner, with wedding cake, for 2 persons (bride and groom)

Package total: $1,100.00

We have catered to wedding groups of up to 80 participants, quoting for local transportation systems, the ceremonies, the parties, and subsequent island activities!

A group of such size would just about occupy our Resort Club entirely, making such an event the center of our attention. However, no wedding is too small for deserving our fullest commitment to detail and to the bride’s and groom’s happiness!

Other Services

• Wedding party dinners will be quoted on request.

• Special wedding party decorations will be quoted on request.

• One of our staff, with excellent ability, is available to photograph your wedding.

• Local guitar player or excellent Bahamian Band will be quoted on request.

• Stella Maris Resorts wedding planner assists with all arrangement to plan your special day free of charge

Honeymoon Inclusive (5 Nights / 7 Nights): This all inclusive package includes a free upgrade to a 1-bedroom cottage for 5 or 7 night package, use of a rental car for 1 day, a 1 hour massage each, round trip flights Nassau - Stella Maris, taxi round trip Stella Maris Airport to hotel, 3 meals per day, 3 drinks per day excluding bottled wine/ champagne, house wine with dinner, champagne the first night, free activity schedule and all taxes, service charges and current energy surcharges.

And that's not all? We will prepare a bouquet and boutonniere of local flowers; provide informal decorations, snacks for 8, and 2 bottles of Champagne for your celebration.
