Calling All Pilots & Boat Captains to Bahamas Out Islands

LONG ISLAND, Bahamas — Make your final approach into Stella Maris International Airport (MYLS) on Long Island in the Southern Bahamas, an ocean paradise and the perfect place in the sand to soak up the sun.

If your preferred mode of transport is by sea, cruise right on into our private marina at Stella Maris Resort. Either way, a special deal awaits you. The resort offers an idyllic vacation - peaceful, natural and unspoiled taking in the beauty and tranquility of Long Island. This Bahamian Out Island getaway is divided by the Tropic of Cancer. Here weather conditions are enjoyable year-round. Surrounded by the turquoise blue of the Exuma Sound on the lee side and the deep rich blue of the Atlantic on the east, Long Island boasts high cliffs and rolling headlands. Stella Maris offers coves and a choice of eight secluded beaches to enjoy.

Rates and packages vary according to season, length of stay; however, pilots and boat captains can expect all kinds of upgrades such as free nights, discounts and participation in nightly events such as the Rum Punch and Conch Fritter cocktail hour and "Bahamian Night." Daily activities include scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing and sailing, biking and nightly dancing under the stars.

Stella Maris air-conditioned accommodations, within a stone’s throw of the azure Atlantic, consist of hotel rooms, cottages, villas, and bungalows. A menu of international dishes that blend Bahamian, American, and Continental cuisine is prepared by the chef. A clubhouse includes the restaurant, bar/lounge, game room, boutique and patios. The new ocean pool bar offers light dining or a favorite tropical beverage.
